Barn End
Sleeps 6
3 Bedrooms
Barn End cottage is the most recent parts of the barn attached to Chestnut farm, and has been sympathetically converted into a single, two-part, property. It retains many of its distinctive original features, including beams and exposed stone walls, and shows the location of the original barn-doors, which are reputed at one time to have been adorned with the message ‘Jesus saves and satisfies’.
The cottage is set within 1¼ acres of courtyard and grounds overlooking the beautiful scenery of the Peak District National Park, and has its own sitting-out court-yard area.
The location in Uppertown, just above the picturesque village of Bonsall, is ideal for walkers and cyclists alike, with the Limestone Way passing alongside the farm. All the scenic delights of the Peak District are within a short drive.
